Overview:
As a Substance Use Disorder Therapist, you will deliver targeted therapeutic interventions to individuals grappling with substance use challenges in both residential and outpatient settings. Your role will encompass conducting thorough assessments, formulating personalized treatment strategies, and providing individual, group, and family therapy aimed at fostering recovery.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and create tailored treatment plans.
  • Possess knowledge of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) standards.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and stages of change.
  • Lead group therapy sessions effectively.
  • Manage a client caseload while offering compassionate support.
  • Collaborate with external community providers and internal team members.
  • Address urgent situations and provide immediate assistance.
  • Engage with clients' families and contribute to community outreach initiatives.
  • Ensure meticulous maintenance of client records and documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in treating substance use disorders.
  • Strong clinical competencies and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Willingness to obtain PCB certification within one year of employment.
Work Environment:
  • Work in diverse environments including offices, treatment facilities, and community outreach locations.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends as necessary.
