Job Summary:
Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer with SharePoint expertise to join our team. This 6-month assignment offers the opportunity to work on a high-impact project developing a centralized knowledge base for classified programs and disclosure.

About the Role:
The position of Technical Writer with SharePoint Experience is responsible for reviewing and editing technical materials related to security processes and project management. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to transform complex concepts into user-friendly documentation on SharePoint that supports information security governance and compliance efforts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensively review and edit existing documentation to improve clarity and coherence.
  • Develop diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to supplement technical content.
  • Assist in designing SharePoint web page templates that support various content types.
  • Provide best practice guidance on content management, including versioning, information architecture, and taxonomy.
  • Suggest opportunities to extend or improve existing team workflows within SharePoint.

Requirements:
At least five years' experience creating technical documentation or training materials, proficiency in MS SharePoint Online and SharePoint Designer, strong writing and editing skills, and working knowledge of industry-standard structured writing principles are essential for this role. A strong organizational, communications, research, and time management skills are also required.

This position is fully remote in the US and offers an estimated salary of up to $71 per hour (w2 based on experience).
