Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Processing Technician at Wake County Public Schools
Overview:
This role is responsible for providing customer service and serving as the first point of contact for maintenance calls and operational issues from Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) sites. The technician will determine appropriate priority code for work required, create service requests/work orders, notify proper responders, and provide accurate data in the database to document work.
The M&O Processing Technician will also provide office support including word processing, organizing data in spreadsheets and databases, managing a calendar, filing, mail pick-up, and providing customer service to walk-in customers. Additionally, the technician will assist with invoicing work orders by performing data entry into a database to include details listed on each invoice explaining work performed by contractors addressing issues.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, effective time management skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to complete complex tasks and minimize errors with attention to detail, ability to work independently without close supervision, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using various communication techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year based on location and experience.
