Crime Analyst

Placer County is seeking a highly skilled Crime Analyst to join our team. As a Crime Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing crime and intelligence data to support investigations and public safety efforts.

The Crime Analyst will collect, analyze, and communicate data to identify trends and patterns in criminal activity. You will work closely with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to provide timely and accurate intelligence to support investigations and crime prevention efforts.

• Collect and analyze crime and intelligence data using qualitative and quantitative methods
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in criminal activity
• Develop and maintain intelligence databases and reports
• Provide timely and accurate intelligence to support investigations and crime prevention efforts
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to share intelligence and best practices
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support crime prevention and reduction efforts

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice, criminology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in crime analysis or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
