Job Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of designated departments, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and cost standards while achieving production targets and maintaining cleanliness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serve as the primary representative for Safety, Quality, and Production for assigned product lines.

2. Develop, uphold, and ensure compliance with high safety standards, conducting regular safety briefings.

3. Train operators on safety, quality, and production protocols as outlined in work instructions, conducting daily compliance audits.

4. Execute production plans by scheduling personnel, monitoring progress, prioritizing tasks, and resolving issues while documenting shift production outcomes.

5. Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, analyzing production performance data and addressing inquiries.

6. Conduct employee evaluations, setting clear accountabilities and objectives.

7. Drive maximum efficiency and productivity among production staff.

8. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and housekeeping standards.

9. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to guarantee proper upkeep of machinery and facilities, fostering a safe and clean work environment.

10. Implement proper start-up and shutdown procedures for assigned product lines and facilities.

11. Promote Lean Operating Principles and 5S methodologies on the production floor, focusing on material efficiency and waste reduction.

12. Recommend personnel actions such as promotions, demotions, and disciplinary measures in accordance with company policy.

13. Manage hazardous waste in compliance with packaging, labeling, and storage regulations.

14. Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to labor laws and regulations.

15. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Preferred Bachelor's degree; high school diploma or GED required.

2. Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.

3. Effective oral and written communication abilities.

4. Solid mathematical and reading comprehension skills.

5. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

7. Results-driven mindset.

8. Capability to establish credibility and make decisive choices.

9. Excellent organizational skills and reasoning abilities.

10. Proven leadership and development skills.

11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

12. General mechanical knowledge is advantageous.

13. At least one year of experience in manufacturing management or supervision is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Must pass a drug test and background screening as per company policy.

2. Good vision required (corrective lenses acceptable).

3. Ability to hear audible signals and warnings in a production environment.

4. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.

5. Capability to endure fumes within OSHA standards.

6. Ability to reach overhead and outward for items.

7. Stamina to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.

8. Must manage employees across multiple locations on campus.

9. Physical presence during business hours is mandatory.

10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

11. Must handle small items with dexterity.

12. Proficient in using general hand tools.

13. Ability to bend and stoop as needed.

14. Must possess a valid driver's license for company vehicles.

15. Willingness to travel off-site as required.

16. Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
