As an Oncology RN, you will play a vital role in the patient support system, acting as the primary contact for patients during a challenging time. Your responsibilities will encompass the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care from admission through discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' overall health, focusing on their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, as well as nutritional needs and family involvement.
- Develop a targeted care plan and prioritize treatments based on individual patient needs and available resources.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Ensure efficient patient flow in examination areas.
- Administer chemotherapy and radiation treatments, along with supportive care for managing symptoms.
- Monitor and document treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about the disease, treatment options, and potential side effects.
- Translate complex medical information into understandable terms for patients and provide guidance on disease prevention and personal care.
- Offer emotional support to patients and families navigating the challenges of treatment.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Current certifications as required by the facility.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Strong clinical knowledge of specialty care services.
