Key Responsibilities- Perform and evaluate laboratory tests, including blood counts, chemistry tests, and microbiology tests.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Provide technical assistance and training to laboratory staff, including medical laboratory technicians and phlebotomists.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that laboratory test results are accurately reported and communicated to patients and healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting agency.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and laboratory staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
