About the Role
Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer / Project Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas or Jacksonville, FL. As a key member of our environmental restoration consulting team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing complex projects and field programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and supervise tasks such as pilot tests, treatability studies, engineering designs, construction oversight, operation, and maintenance (O&M), and report writing on projects.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to integrate into our culture and mentor junior professionals to aid in their growth and development.
- Prepare proposals and deliverables, utilizing your technical expertise and business acumen to drive project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, with a Master's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of directly related professional experience, with increasing responsibility in the environmental restoration consulting market.
- Fundamental understanding of Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Physical-Chemical Processes, Process Design, Chemical Kinetics, and Transport Processes.
- Experience with assessment and cleanup governed by CERCLA on Federal projects, as well as working on PFAS investigation and/or treatment projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification and PMP certification are highly desirable.
