The Job

The Shift Leader will provide ongoing support to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager when in the restaurant. This position is suited for someone who enjoys working with the public and internal Team Members. The Shift Leader will drive the MAD Greens culture of having fun and contributing to the collaborative spirit of the team.

Responsibilities
  1. Effectively lead the restaurant while the General Manager and Assistant General Manager is not present.
  2. Monitor the training and development of existing and new team members while on shift, to include MAD Greens operational policies and procedures, cash handling, and safety/security procedures.
  3. Lead each shift by delegating duties and assigned tasks and follow up with team members.
  4. Greet guests to make them feel comfortable and welcome.
  5. Assist in preparation of food items, including prepping menu items using equipment like knives, juicer, grill, oven, food processor, and blenders.
  6. Check food quality and food temperatures throughout the day to ensure that food is fresh and safe to serve.
  7. Follow sanitation and safety procedures, including knife handling and kitchen equipment.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and ensure proper opening and closing procedures are being followed in the entire restaurant, including dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and prep areas.
  9. Ensure that team members take guests' orders and handle accurate cash and credit transactions.
  10. Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items.
  11. Effectively handle guest concerns and complaints and escalate them to the appropriate person in Management.
  12. Direct the team to prepare the restaurant for each shift.
  13. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture of MAD Greens.
  14. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  15. Contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
  1. Excellent guest service skills required.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  5. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  7. Must have reliable transportation.
  8. Must come to work when scheduled and on time.
  9. Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
  10. Must be able to stand for long periods of time on scheduled shifts.
