About the Job

Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm in North America, is seeking an onsite Extrusion Machine Operator for our production team in Jeannette, PA. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for the operation of several types of extrusion machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn to operate different types of plastic extrusion machines.
  • Set up and monitor extrusion machines to meet quota and quality specifications.
  • Develop a solid understanding of quality control procedures.
  • Work efficiently and productively to meet production goals.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Use basic and power hand tools to perform tasks.
  • Stack material in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate's Health and Safety Practices.
  • Build working relationships with co-workers and respect their contributions.
  • Regularly clean the work area and tools to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Successfully complete on-the-job training and meet performance expectations.
  • Lift up to 50lbs repetitively and operate a forklift safely.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate (or equivalent) with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Ability to operate large precision shop machinery and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate problems and solutions verbally.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and personal initiative related to problem-resolution duties.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Safety-oriented mindset and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift experience and certification.
  • Manufacturing experience and knowledge of quality control procedures.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to take direction and criticism positively and make adjustments accordingly.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
