Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agriculture Energy Sales Specialist to join our team at Tri-Gas & Oil. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with agriculture farms, poultry companies, and growers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Collaborate with sales leadership to increase business volume and accounts per annual plan.
  • Meet and Exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Focus on increasing active accounts, gallons growth, average margin, Net Promoter Score, and lead generation.
  • Conduct Outbound Lead Follow-up Calls: Engage with potential and existing agriculture and poultry customers to build relationships and drive sales growth.
  • Establish Own Leads: Utilize cold-calling and connectivity to community networks, such as DPI, Farm Bureau, and allied AG providers, to identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in Industry Events: Actively engage in agriculture business community events, meetings, seminars, and trainings to build and strengthen the Tri-Gas & Oil brand and relationships.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Stay up-to-date on new poultry house construction, market trends, and identify target accounts.
  • Maintain Accurate Sales Data: Utilize Salesforce to generate and qualify new business leads, follow up with current customers, and prepare accurate proposals as needed.
  • Gain Industry Knowledge: Develop expertise in equipment installation and service for poultry and agricultural farms, as well as energy consumption trends.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Collaborate with internal departments to identify and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Display Professionalism: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, professionalism in behavior and attitude, and work closely with Operations, Service, and Poultry Coordinator to provide world-class customer experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous Sales Experience in Propane/Petroleum with Agricultural/Poultry Industry
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills
  • Proven Experience with CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook
  • High Degree of Responsiveness and Initiative
  • Ability to Travel Throughout the Delmarva Peninsula
