About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join our team. As an Equipment Engineer, you will work on the maintenance and optimization of process equipment for building the next generation of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products. You will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager and will work cross-functionally to support various types of equipment in Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform job functions in a safe and effective manner, promoting employees' adherence to safe practices.
  • Develop maintenance plans and schedules, and ensure proper equipment maintenance to minimize production delays.
  • Create equipment maintenance instructions and train equipment maintenance technicians.
  • Coordinate, track, and prioritize tool maintenance to ensure maximum tool up-time; ensure that all tools are maintained per the established schedule and within specification.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of solar manufacturing equipment.
  • Read and follow manuals, diagrams, and schematics for equipment operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Investigate equipment failures and root causes, and develop solutions to increase uptime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Develop spare parts list and tool recovery plans.
  • Maintain compliance with quality records related to maintenance function.
  • Work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment; organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • BS/MS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as an equipment or maintenance engineer maintaining complex electromechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge and ability to maintain and upgrade various types of equipment, tools, or tool sets.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC ladder logic and HMI interfaces, proficiency is a plus.
  • Familiar with Tool Tracking System.
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing expansions and ramp-ups.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external functional teams verbally, in writing, and via presentations.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and excellent time management skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety requirements.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and efficient.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
