About the Role

The Admissions Mental Health Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in the Intake Department. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and monitor patients to ensure their safety and security
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups to promote patient engagement and progress
  • Conduct searches and secure contraband to maintain a safe environment
  • Assist with daily living skills to support patient independence
  • Manage patient behavior and maintain a positive milieu
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience working in a psychiatric setting
  • CPR certification (may be acquired after hire)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
