Pipefitter Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Helper to join our team at Optimized Process Designs, LLC. As a Pipefitter Helper, you will assist pipefitters with setting, assembling, and installing pipe, as well as possessing knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pipefitters with setting, assembling, and installing pipe
- Prepare pipe and fittings for hoisting and rigging
- Locate and mark bending and cutting lines of metal
- Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
- Operate tools and equipment, including beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, welding machines, and a Saw-Zall
- Ability to work safely and accurately
- 6 months previous experience working in an industrial environment
- Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
- Must be willing and able to work in remote areas and attend mandatory safety meetings
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements
- 6+ months working as a pipefitter helper
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Previous experience reading ISOs and drawings
- Past exposure to different metals and knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc.
- Experience in a gas plant construction environment
