Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operations Specialist to join our team at Plastipak Holdings. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality plastic containers for leading consumer brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe, and climate-controlled environment.
  • Monitor and Adjust Equipment: Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers.
  • Troubleshoot and Maintain Equipment: Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure that Plastipak customer requirements are met, including specifications such as bottle weights and dimensions.
Requirements
  • Schedule: Ability to work a rotating schedule, including 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, with two 3-day weekends off every month.
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience operating production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, basic mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
