Our initial suite of offerings provides capital-as-a-service tailored for online platforms. Currently, Parafin supports the capital initiatives for a diverse range of platforms and payment processors, from Series B startups to established post-IPO entities.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to become a vital member of the merchant decisioning team, tasked with developing a robust platform/infrastructure essential for evaluating and making decisions for numerous businesses daily. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Data Science, Growth, and Risk teams to effectively support product initiatives that enhance Parafin's portfolio and equip stakeholders with the tools necessary to influence our growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of our Python-based underwriting and application decisioning system, leading its development.
- Define the architecture and foundational infrastructure, encompassing the technologies we employ and the design principles we uphold.
- Collaborate with data scientists to create a platform that is dependable, scalable, and easily adaptable.
- Integrate machine learning infrastructure into the platform to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering capacity.
- A strong commitment to building high-quality infrastructure, with relevant experience and a deep pride in your work.
- Ability to independently manage and advance product development from inception to execution.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a small team and establishing foundational elements for the organization.
