Position Overview

Ardurra is in search of a Project Accountant II to enhance our Accounting Team.

Core Responsibilities

The Project Accountant plays a crucial role in facilitating project execution by overseeing and reporting on financial performance in alignment with established policies.

  • Manage cost accounting, billing, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide dedicated support to regional or program Project Managers and Management teams, acting as the Finance representative on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical and analytical accounting skills as project complexity and risk increase.
Key Duties
  • Assist Project Managers with the setup, maintenance, and closure of projects within accounting systems.
  • Interpret contractual commercial terms and ensure their integration into project setups and controls.
  • Review and coordinate the verification of incurred costs, including time, expenses, and subconsultants.
  • Prepare timely and accurate client billings and facilitate Project Manager reviews of billed and unbilled charges.
  • Support Project Managers in analyzing project budgets, financial issues, and variances; participate in financial review meetings.
  • Review and submit comments for monthly revenue generation and quarterly revenue forecasts.
  • Assist Project Managers with accounts receivable collections as necessary.
  • Provide training on project financial software as required.
  • Support management with project analysis and data collection as needed.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant work experience.

Skills: Proficiency in advanced project management software (Deltek preferred), excellent customer service orientation, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
