Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at our Battle Creek Plant. As a key member of our plant leadership team, you'll drive improvements in safety, food safety, service, financial results, quality, and employee engagement. Your expertise in process improvement and lean manufacturing will help us achieve our goals and make a positive impact on our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the plant-wide cost savings program to meet annual targets, identifying, validating, coaching, and executing projects.
  • Develop and maintain plant KPIs and visual factory tools, serving as the KPLAS/downtime reporting system owner.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, deploying and coaching lean practices, 5S, Kaizen, AM, and Kellogg Work Systems tools across all levels of the organization.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead activities using cross-functional resources to deliver business results.
  • Support team approaches to solving problems, maintaining positive and productive relations with the hourly workforce, plant management team, sister plant resources, and corporate resources.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field with manufacturing experience in project and process management or extensive exposure in process improvement in packaging manufacturing environment preferred.
  • A history of driving projects to focus on building sustainable processes to improve OEE and driving improvement through SMED methodologies.
  • Experienced with Daily Direction Setting for a team to implement improvements in processes and people.
  • Well-versed in working with Operations and Training Departments to ensure progression of Operations Team members and mentoring Operations team members in manufacturing equipment concepts and processes.
