Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Burlington Industries. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical circuits and components on plant machinery and equipment, as well as power circuits and lighting fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:- Repair and maintain electrical circuits and components on plant machinery and equipment
- Work with crew to install or repair all types of electrical and electronic equipment
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance as directed
- Dismantle, repair, and rewire simple electrical apparatus, control boards, and switches
- Exercise judgment in selection of materials, tools, and methods required to ensure work progress meets department standards
- Mandatory: Must have prior electrical and mechanical experience
- Must successfully complete self-study courses within six months of start date
- Must attain and maintain Fork Truck License
- Preferred: High school graduate or equivalent, Advanced Manufacturing Training, experience as a Machine Technician/Overhauler
Must be willing to work in adverse conditions (outdoors, cold, wet, hot, etc.) and be willing to work Weekends and holidays, after hours, on call backs, and during week-long summer and Christmas shutdowns.
Physical Requirements:- Standing up to 10 hours on concrete floor
- Walk anywhere on plant property, including roofs
- Climb and perform work on ladders and scaffolds
- May be required to lift as much as 50lbs, 5-10 times per shift
Mandatory: Must have prior electrical and mechanical experience. Must successfully complete the following self-study courses within six months of start date: 109. Industrial Health & Safety, 151 Chemical Hazards, 107 Using Hand Tools, 102 Reading Schematics & Symbols, 204 Electrical and 103 Using Math in the Plant.
Other Requirements:- Willing to work in adverse conditions (outdoors, cold, wet, hot, etc.)
- Willingness to work Weekends and holidays, after hours, on call backs, and during week-long summer and Christmas shutdowns
- Must have telephone to be reached in case of plant emergency
- Driver's license and personal transportation desirable
