Total Rewards Director

The Total Rewards Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's total rewards strategy, driving innovation, and executing impactful programs that attract and retain top talent. Reporting to the SVP, Global Head of Compensation, this leader will be responsible for all total rewards-related matters for the Accounting & Finance job family globally, as well as shared services, leading a team of two to three people.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all Compensation and Benefits programs align with company values and drive the desired employment experience.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Assist with executing operational strategies, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Build and maintain regular, high-quality contact and relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Utilize experience and understanding in responding to compensation & benefits trends and market data points, tying them to corporate objectives and ensuring legal compliance and sound governance.
- Serve as a consultant to senior leaders on compensation & benefits matters, including salary management, incentive compensation design and administration, employee/manager education and communication, job design and evaluation, and interpretation of corporate policies/procedures.
- Act as a business partner to put in place initiatives and start process improvements.
- Partner with executive management to develop and implement strategies that optimize operational performance and support the business.
- Direct the business operations activities, developing partnerships with internal department management.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, persuading managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.
- Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
- Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems, leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
- Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Knowledge and experience of different compensation methodology and funding metrics, profit-share and cash and equity LTIPs.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and sense of urgency.
- Experience in the areas of accounting, finance, shared services, and financial institutions.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments' results within a function.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
