Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to access and replace defective components using various tools including hoists, dollies, and hand tools.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting motors, drives, and belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
  • Service, repair, adjust, and test mechanical systems and equipment based on mechanical principles.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities, including parts used and requisitioning new materials as needed.
  • Possess a working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with team members and subcontractors to facilitate installations and repairs.
  • Prioritize and respond promptly to urgent maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in safe working order, adhering to safety protocols including risk assessments and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Align and calibrate machines using precision tools and measuring instruments.
  • Operate manual milling machines and lathes to fabricate parts to specified dimensions.
  • Adjust components to achieve proper clearances between moving and stationary parts using hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Analyze diagnostic information to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including electrical systems and machinery.
  • Interpret complex schematics and blueprints to guide maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Follow electrical codes to ensure compliance during maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
Qualifications and Tools
  • This role reports directly to the Production and Supply Chain Manager.
  • This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office, with potential for occasional travel.
  • Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must consent to and successfully complete a background check, physical examination (if applicable), and drug screening.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a mechanical role.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools such as wrenches, hammers, drills, and lathes.
