Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Control Specialist to join our team at the City of Ocala. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all police supplies, uniforms, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Issue and receive all department equipment and supplies based on established guidelines
  • Coordinate the repair and maintenance of property designated for necessary repairs
  • Prepare and submit requisitions for stock replacements of supply room items
  • Store, distribute, and maintain control of various types of equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate computer entries and maintenance of assigned property control numbers for the city computerized inventory program
  • Responsible for the physical inventory of all department furniture, serialized equipment, office equipment, and vehicles
  • Document transfers of property and equipment between various units
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Clerical, computer, and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work with people
  • Strong organization and analytical skills to keep accurate property control and accountability
  • Ability to maintain detailed records
  • Ability to compile and prepare statistical reports
