The Driver Manager is integral to the Quality Carriers team. This position encompasses fostering strong relationships with assigned drivers, advising the Terminal Manager on terminal operations, and overseeing driver and tractor capacity for daily dispatch to enhance revenue generation and asset utilization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Optimize driver hours and earnings while ensuring adherence to regulations
  • Collaborate with maintenance facilities for vehicle maintenance and compliance
  • Oversee driver schedules and ensure precise hours of service documentation
  • Deliver safety guidance and training to drivers
  • Partner with Independent Contractors to improve business decisions and operational effectiveness
  • Work in close collaboration with the Terminal Manager on driver development and disciplinary matters

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication abilities
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (2-year business degree preferred)
  • 2-3 years of experience in the bulk transportation sector
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in Word & Excel
