Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team at ATS Automation. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling various mechanical systems and components under the direction of our experienced supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble mechanical systems and components using various tools and equipment.
  • Interpret and use technical drawings and documentation to complete assembly tasks.
  • Fabricate simpler components using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
  • Form, prepare, and align copper, brass, and plastic piping, as well as associated bracketing and hardware.
  • Braze, solder, and bond piping as required.
  • Mount various assemblies and components.
  • Perform metal treatment processes, including polishing, painting, and passivation.
  • Meet documented specification requirements and quality standards in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Use material handling equipment, such as hand trucks, carts, forklifts, and cranes, as required.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including time and attendance sheets, assembly routers, non-conformance records, and test records.
  • Follow all safety policies, precautions, recommendations, and procedures.
  • Assist other production departments or operations areas based on workloads and needs.
Requirements
  • Welding, soldering, and brazing experience or certification is a plus.
  • Fork Truck Driver's License is a plus.
  • Technical School is a plus.
  • Previous experience is a plus.
  • The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.
