This role offers the flexibility of working remotely from a home office, with occasional travel of up to 25% to support our clients in the Central Washington area. A company vehicle will be provided, along with relocation assistance.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $52,499 - $76,999.

Eaton's Critical Power Solutions Division specializes in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic products that ensure power reliability in critical applications.

Our technicians provide essential solutions to meet our customers' complex energy management needs.


In this position, you will be responsible for conducting on-site emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance in an on-call capacity across the region.

Your work will involve UPS systems, power distribution units, and batteries.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Power Systems, Battery technologies, and/or Electronics (coursework and internship experience are considered).

Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted State Driver's license.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:


Associate's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field from an accredited institution, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering program from an accredited institution.

At least three (3) years of experience working with Power Systems, Battery Technologies, and/or Electronics.

Ability to interpret schematic drawings and possess knowledge of troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques.

Electrical Technology Certificate from an accredited institution.

Position Success Criteria:
Ability to collaborate with other Service Solutions Technicians and follow directions from the lead technician on site.


Willingness to undergo and pass customer entrance requirements, which may include periodic background checks and drug screenings.

Ability to travel frequently to customer sites within the assigned region, with up to 25% of drive-time expected.


The incumbent may be required to perform various physical tasks, including repetitive lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, or driving extended distances; ability to lift up to 75lbs.


Strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase circuit theory; analog and digital electronic circuit theory; and microprocessor controls and programming.

Knowledge of how to use an oscilloscope.

Ability to perform phase rotation and phase alignment checks.

Basic understanding of network functionality and sealed and wet-celled battery theory and application.

Familiarity with the proper use of hand tools and when to use insulated tools.

Commitment to safety and compliance with company and customer safety regulations.

Must demonstrate proficiency in products and field processes before being dispatched to the field.

Must provide high-quality service.

Self-starter and motivator.

Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Windows, Office, and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
