Restaurant Host

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Restaurant Server to join our team at Royal Palace Restaurant & Lounge. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring seamless service operations, and contributing to the overall success of our upscale dining establishment.

• Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Greet and engage with guests warmly, providing them with a personalized and memorable dining experience.
• Menu Knowledge: Master our Afro-Mediterranean menu, including dishes and non-alcoholic mocktails, to recommend items and answer questions.
• Take Accurate Orders: Ensure all guest orders are accurate and properly communicated to the kitchen, including dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Upsell and Recommend: Suggest popular dishes, pairings, and new menu items, as well as our hookah flavors and BYOB setup options.
• Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Check in with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction, handling any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.
• Process Payments: Accurately handle payments, providing guests with their bills and processing transactions swiftly and efficiently.
• Maintain a Clean Dining Area: Keep tables, chairs, and the overall dining area clean and organized, complying with health and safety standards.
• Assist with Set-Up and Closing: Help with daily set-up before opening and closing duties at the end of shifts, ensuring all areas are prepared for service.

• Experience: Previous serving experience in a high-end or fast-paced restaurant is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person.
• Excellent Customer Service: Friendly, outgoing, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
• Team Player: Willing to collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate orders, clean service areas, and timely table management.
• Multitasking Ability: Able to manage multiple tables and tasks in a fast-paced environment without compromising on service quality.
• Food Handler's Certificate: Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Food Handler's certificate upon hiring.
