Job Summary

Advocates is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Clinician to provide trauma-informed outpatient counseling to children and adolescents in the school setting. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with the school system, pediatricians, and outside providers to deliver evidence-based treatment and promote a balanced, healthy, and safe environment for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide school and home-based evaluations, family and individual outpatient counseling to children/adolescents in the school setting
  • Follow all trauma-informed practices and advocate for clients' needs within the program and with external agencies
  • Maintain up-to-date client records, including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries, and progress notes
  • Attend trainings as assigned and maintain necessary certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, HR/DPPC)
  • Ensure clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates' Human Rights Policy
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting
  • Ability to work with children and families in the community
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation abilities
  • Intuitive, client-centered, supportive approach
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support

Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle, and be willing to use it to transport clients. Strongly prefer a candidate with a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
