Job Title: Material Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team at Lakota Solutions, LLC. As a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments
  • Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue
  • Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material
  • Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules
  • Examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified
  • May monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board
  • May compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using adding machine
  • May compile report of quantity and type of material on hand
  • May move or transport material from one department to another, using hand truck or industrial truck
  • May compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system
  • May maintain employee records
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in material coordination or related field
  • GCSS-A qualified user
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client
  • Travel in the domestic USA (less than 15%)
Work Environment:

Warehouse environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (less than 15%).

Physical Requirements:

Requires sitting and standing/walking (approximately 50/50%). Include whether requires ability to occasionally lift less than 50lbs. Most lifting will be performed via forklift.
