Material Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Material Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of explosive materials, ammunition, parts, and general supplies within or between departments. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with department supervisors and military liaison to determine material requirements and locate materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews issue/draw, turn-in schedules, and confers with department supervisors and military liaison to determine material required or overdue.
  • Arranges for magazine transfer of materials to meet utilization schedules and coordinates with department supervisors for issue or turn-in.
  • Compiles reports of quantity and type of ammunition on hand and prepares for move or transport material from one location to another.
  • Maintains stock records and may compile perpetual production records using manual or computerized systems.
  • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors and requires the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of logistics experience in Army logistics or transportation procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.
  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ammunition experience.
  • Keeping accurate record of storage stock.
  • Preparing stock for customer utilization as well as repackaging upon return.
  • Work as a member of a high Optempo team, Team player.
  • Able to learn/operate a 6K forklift, hand truck, ½ ton pickup truck.

  • Hourly Compensation $21.25.
