P3R Operations Trainee


P3R is dedicated to motivating individuals to MOVE with us. We serve as the creative force behind Pittsburgh's most impactful sporting events and thrilling experiences that bring people together.

Renowned for orchestrating the prestigious annual DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, P3R also manages a diverse array of high-caliber races, training sessions, and health and fitness initiatives throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


  • Work closely with the Operations Manager on logistics and signage planning for all P3R events.
  • Oversee specific projects as delegated by the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of signage, including inventory tracking, sorting, organizing, researching, and planning for upcoming events.
  • Support warehouse management, inventory control, and overall organization.
  • Help develop plans, maps, and other documentation for designated projects.
  • Assist in notifying venues about the impact of P3R events and manage the overall notification listings and tracking.
  • Support the procurement of race supplies and equipment, including researching new tools and concepts.
  • Contribute to the formulation of plans for vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Open to college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates.
  • Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Schedule is flexible, but must fall within regular business hours.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to assist with events.
  • All academic majors are encouraged to apply.
  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint, Illustrator, and CAD is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is necessary.
Compensation:
  • Interns will receive an hourly wage and will typically work between 15 to 20 hours per week, depending on schedules and events.
