**Job Summary:**

As a Deputy Sheriff at the State of Wisconsin, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the community. Your duties will include processing persons booked into jail, maintaining the security of inmates, and monitoring their health and welfare. You will also be responsible for inspecting inmate housing units, searching and inventorying inmate property, and performing hourly security checks at irregular intervals. Additionally, you will enforce traffic laws and maintain traffic flow, responding to calls for emergency services as needed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Process persons booked into jail
* Maintain security of inmates and monitor their health and welfare
* Inspect inmate housing units and search and inventory inmate property
* Perform hourly security checks at irregular intervals

**Requirements:**

* Must be a U.S. citizen
* Must be at least 21 years old
