Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Registered Nurses (RN) role at Crossroads Care Center is to provide high-quality nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing functions performed by the Nursing Assistants. The RN will coordinate all aspects of a resident's care with other disciplines in the center, ensuring compliance with current Federal and State Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the Admission/Discharge process, ensuring a smooth transition for residents and their families.
  • Complete accident/incident reports, follow up on investigations, and maintain accurate records.
  • Transcribe Physician orders, document all resident information as necessary, and notify physicians and families as needed.
  • Review medication orders for completeness and accuracy, ensuring resident safety.
  • Prepare and administer medication as ordered by the physician, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Participate in Care conferences, updating care plans as needed, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with all disciplines, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in continuing education programs, staying up-to-date on the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
  • Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • Current and active nursing license with the state of Illinois.
