SUMMARY:
The Internal Audit Supervisor plays a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness of internal control systems and suggesting improvements to ensure adherence to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assesses the operational controls, policies, and procedures of the organization.
- Analyzes banking regulations and conducts internal audit assessments.
- Prepares documentation for Audit Committee sessions and drafts audit findings reports.
- Leads a team of internal auditors, providing mentorship and support.
- Collaborates with external audit firms to ensure comprehensive audit coverage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· A Bachelor's degree in a relevant business discipline along with four years of professional experience.
· Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
· Prior experience in a supervisory role is essential.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· A Master's degree in a relevant business discipline is preferred.
· Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are advantageous.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS:
This is a full-time role, with occasional requirements for evening and weekend hours.
TRAVEL:
Some travel may be necessary using a personal vehicle.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehending business-related information is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a sedentary position, requiring the use of standard office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Typical office environment with standard ambient room temperatures.
