About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of R&D Business Development to join our team at Cameron Craig Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our R&D initiatives and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead R&D Funding Efforts: Collaborate with our CTO to identify and pursue government R&D funding opportunities, and develop strategies to increase our funding levels.
  2. Oversee Technology Roadmap: Work with our CTO and VP of Engineering to develop and implement our technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  3. Deliver R&D Programs: Partner with our CTO and VP of Engineering to oversee the successful delivery of our R&D programs, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  4. Grow IP Portfolio: Identify opportunities to grow our IP portfolio, and work with our team to develop and implement strategies to achieve this goal.
Qualifications
  1. PhD in Electrical Engineering: A PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant wireless communication systems design experience post-PhD.
  2. Technical Expertise: Fluency in technical presentations, proposal writing, and technical reporting, with experience in RF sensing and signal analysis a plus.
  3. Customer Engagement: Experience with customer engagement, with a focus on the government sector, and hands-on management experience with wireless system design.
  4. Technical Skills: Working knowledge of simulation tools such as MATLAB and C, and experience with RF signal propagation, channel modeling, digital communications, RF sensing, signal analysis, machine learning, and associated signal processing technologies.
  5. Clearance: Secret Clearance is a plus due to occasional classified discussions and/or specification documents.

  1. Authorization to Work: Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship, and be US citizens or Green Card holders.
  2. Location: The successful candidate will be based in the continental US, and will be required to work in the location listed.
