Job Summary

The Clinical Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Clinic Directors to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and collaborate with other departments to ensure excellence in patient and family care reflective of Campbell County Health (CCH) and Campbell County Medical Group's (CCMG) mission, vision, and values. This position provides clinical oversight, planning, assigning, and management of the work of professional and non-professional nursing, physician, and advanced clinical providers in the clinics for which they are responsible.

Primary Job Duties
  1. Exhibits a thorough understanding of Ambulatory Clinic function and provides daily oversight and management of staff performance and expectations to facilitate cohesive clinic operation
  2. Ensures superior ongoing patient satisfaction and customer service
  3. Conducts management responsibilities in a positive, professional manner
  4. Exercises excellent interpersonal relationship skills in the management and coordination of clinical staff
  5. Exercises effective problem-solving skills
  6. Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills
  7. Ensures staff accountability in implementing the nursing process (assessment, implementation, and updating plan of care, performing interventions, providing patient and family education, and evaluation of outcomes)
  8. Delegate tasks to staff and supervise follow-up
  9. Is proficient in all electronic health records applications
  10. Is proficient in Microsoft Office prepares reports and summaries as needed
  11. Ensure that all paperwork and documentation is accurate and timely
  12. Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of clinical staff, and performance evaluations of clinical staff in conjunction with the Clinic Directors
  13. Responsible for planning and assisting with implementation of departmental training, including orientation, competency assessment, mentoring, coaching, and evaluation (with the Director's input)
  14. Ensures staff are appropriately trained in current services and procedures for competency in best practice
  15. Assists in the development of department budget and maintains fiscal compliance
  16. Evaluate, implements, and coordinate the training for new procedures and equipment
  17. Reviews, adjusts, and plans daily staffing levels to ensure safe and cost-effective patient care. Completes clinical staff schedule to ensure appropriate coverage, including providing coverage for unexpected absences.
  18. Communicate with Front Desk Supervisor (when applicable) to facilitate excellent patient flow and provide cohesive service
  19. Ensures adequate stock of medical supplies by monitoring par levels and timely ordering process
  20. Performs daily charge reconciliation for all responsible clinics
  21. Responsible for agenda and holding meetings with all staff monthly in collaboration with Clinic Directors
  22. Serves as liaison between clinical staff and clinic Directors
  23. Maintains confidentiality of all personnel and patient care and relations information
  24. Ensure that all staff represent CCH and CCMG in a professional manner
  25. Actively participates in Strategic Planning for the department and organization
  26. Collaborates in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives
  27. Actively participates in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs
  28. Participates in the development of departmental policies and assures staff compliance with Hospital, Ambulatory Clinic, and departmental standards of practice
  29. Assists with the development and implementation of departmental strategic plan when applicable as assigned
  30. May be required to manage in other clinic environments according to the distribution of staff and patient loads
  31. Enforces and models CCH & CCMG mission, vision, and values
  32. Must be free from governmental sanctions involving healthcare and/or financial practices
  33. Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws, and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures
