We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at HEICO. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the department's daily responsibilities are completed in a timely manner, disseminating guidance and direction on trade compliance requirements, and maintaining expert-level knowledge of U.S. trade laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the department's daily responsibilities are completed and addressed in a timely manner.
- Disseminate guidance and direction on trade compliance requirements.
- Determine jurisdiction and export classification of products, technical data, and services.
- Engage in inquiries to identify and reconcile trade compliance issues.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of U.S. trade laws and regulations.
- Generate U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Department of State applications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of foreign trade-related processes, programs, and resources.
- Direct audits of trade compliance processes and requirements.
- Serve as interface and external spokesperson on trade compliance-related matters.
- Assist in the development and presentation of trade compliance training.
- Assist in training new trade compliance personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in Aerospace or Defense-related industries strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
