Business Development Officer

Kellogg Community Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Officer to join our team.

The Business Development Officer will play a critical role in supporting the business community through commercial loans, deposit products, and accounts. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial lending terms and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with business owners and decision-makers in the community.
  • Originate commercial lending through the interview and pre-screen process for loan requests.
  • Represent the Credit Union to identified groups and individuals to market and promote business services.
  • Promote and exceed the Credit Union's service values and standards of a world-class experience for members.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of similar or related experience.
  • Experience equivalent to that of a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending terms and practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, written and oral.
  • Ability to interact with others on a regular basis and build relationships.
