This position entails delivering tax advisory and preparation services for clients, while overseeing the provision of tax and accounting solutions. You will also be tasked with promoting and marketing these offerings to both clients and potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tax forecasts and partner with clients to develop strategic tax plans that comply with company guidelines and IRS regulations.
- Provide consulting services on various tax and accounting matters affecting clients.
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Determine appropriate Compeer products tailored to client requirements.
- Handle payroll tax, 1099, W2 forms, and related reports.
- Manage overdue client accounts effectively.
- Foster and sustain robust client relationships.
- Maintain trial balances, general ledgers, and fixed asset schedules.
- Assist clients with accounting inquiries and processes utilizing QuickBooks Software.
- Share tax and accounting knowledge with team members and clients.
- Conduct educational sessions for team members and clients on tax and accounting services.
- Support team members during client engagements and events to enhance their understanding of Compeer products and services.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax planning and preparation.
- CPA or EA certification is mandatory.
- Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to the financial sector.
- Ability to articulate financial concepts clearly.
- Strong comprehension of tax and accounting products and services.
- Experience in agricultural tax planning is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High standards of ethics and professionalism.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and tax software.
- Capacity to work flexible hours and adhere to deadlines.
- Valid driver's license required.
