The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, planning, and evaluating educational programs and activities in assigned program areas, with a focus on small business development, business contracting, agribusiness development, community resources, business financing, home ownership, or community organization development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver community-based educational programs through various teaching methods, providing technical assistance and support to entrepreneurs, small business owners, and agri-businesses.
  • Plan and implement impact evaluations and reports to document program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with county and regional economic development agencies to incorporate local county needs into economic development plans, programs, and strategies.
  • Participate in marketing and promotion of the Community and Economic Development Systems Unit through internet radio blogs, mass media interviews, and Extension publications.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • No prior experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Technical competence in subject matter and ability to apply knowledge to problem-solving.
  • Understanding of learning and development processes of youth and adults.
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods to provide effective learning experiences.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, and the selected candidate must reside within a 25-mile radius of the assigned county.
