Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Project Manager III to join our team at HydroGeoLogic, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading staff in our Billings, MT office, providing oversight, support, and management of employees assigned to the office. Key responsibilities include leadership, resource management, communication and coordination, budget and financial management, and problem solving and decision making.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience executing and managing technical and administrative aspects of environmental characterization, remediation, remedial design, operations and maintenance (O&M), and/or long-term monitoring (LTM). A minimum of 5 years' experience supervising 10+ staff with a successful track record is also required. A BA/BS in Engineering, Science, or a related academic field is necessary. Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work, are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental restoration and/or mine reclamation projects for our diverse program and project portfolio, which includes DoD, civilian, and state and local agencies. The person hired for this position will work on-site or a hybrid schedule in HGL's Billings, MT office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of the HGL Billings, MT office providing supervision and leadership to local and remote staff that report to this regional office.
  • Collaboration with HGL management to ensure office is in alignment with HGL policies, procedures, and best practices. Responsible for upholding HGL's health & safety and quality driven culture.
  • Provide direct supervision of Billings staff including project managers, geologists, engineers, scientists, and administrative staff. Responsible for resource allocation, training, and developing staff.
  • Management of technical and administrative aspects of environmental restoration and mine reclamation projects.
  • Meeting project scope, schedule, budget requirements.
  • Directing, managing, and leading project teams to meet project objectives in-line with corporate and customer health & safety and quality expectations.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management.
  • Effectively manage project risks and develop mitigation approaches and strategies.
  • Support business development efforts, including leading or supporting proposal efforts.
