Healthcare Construction Project Manager Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the Healthcare Construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare project management, renovation, and expansion, with a focus on ground-up healthcare construction.
Responsibilities:- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling assigned aspects of a project, including monitoring project schedules and budgets, evaluating project productivity, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Participate in the design and planning stages of healthcare construction projects, including renovations and expansions.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary materials and equipment for projects, ensuring all items meet the necessary quality standards and specifications.
- Facilitate communication between team members, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and any issues are promptly addressed.
- Ensure all project operations adhere to regulations and standards, including safety and health laws.
- Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Participate in the hiring and training of new project staff.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare project management, with a focus on renovation, expansion, and ground-up healthcare construction.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager (APM) or in a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards in the healthcare construction sector.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Certification in project management (PMP) or related field would be a plus.
