Job Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing daily financial activities, including invoicing, sub-contract management, and financial reporting for the organization's grant programs. This role also involves working with directors and staff to develop and deliver training, education, and outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage post-award functions for the organization's grants/cooperative agreements program, including proposal budget review, sub-award initiation and execution, and review and approval of sub-award invoices for fiscal compliance.
  • Coordinate sub-award agreement modification requests and amendments, and recommend execution as appropriate under the direction of senior management.
  • Develop and implement outreach efforts to effectively educate stakeholders about the organization's activities and impacts.
  • Coordinate training programs for the organization, including Farm Bill and policy impacts on SDFRs.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the organization's programs, including compiling financial reports, creating annual program budgets, and preparing presentations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Business Management, Agriculture, or Economics, and at least three years of relevant professional experience. The position requires strong project management, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management.

Working Conditions

The Program Manager will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to attend to details while handling multiple projects. The position involves occasional travel and extended work hours.
