Job Summary

Patient Transporter

Compass Group Careers is seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Secure IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical equipment during transportation.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Ensure patient comfort and dignity during transportation.
  • Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
  • Maintain equipment and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
