Position Overview
We are currently seeking Educational Support Specialists for our School Program. This role is essential in addressing the educational, physical, social, and emotional needs of students, working closely with the Classroom Teacher and Teacher Assistant to implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $16.25 to $17.85 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the classroom schedule to ensure the achievement of individual student goals.
  • Assist in conducting both individual and group activities within the classroom.
  • Maintain organization of student workstations and areas.
  • Support the development of instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development training.
  • Accompany students to therapy sessions to facilitate learning transfer in the classroom.
  • Help organize and arrange the classroom to foster an effective learning environment.
  • Assist students with mobility needs, ensuring safe transportation to and from school buses.
  • Support students during special classes such as physical education, art, and music.
  • Facilitate students' independence in dressing and undressing as needed.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and changing clothing when necessary.
  • Support students during meal times, promoting independence in feeding and meal preparation.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of feeding equipment and assist with meal-related tasks.
  • Manage the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices as required.
  • Comply with the agency's Code of Legal and Ethical Behavior, ensuring all actions reflect integrity and respect.
  • Follow all agency policies and procedures, prioritizing personal and student safety.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
