Job Opportunity

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Studies Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that offers a competitive salary and a year-end bonus.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented engineer with expertise in power systems studies, fluent in both Spanish and English, to work on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems studies, and experience with Siemens PSS/E software.

Responsibilities
  • Simulate power system models to represent the system over time when adding additional services.
  • Run simulations to test reliability, economics, and alternatives.
  • Support the development of technical documentation, including designs, testing, calculations, reports, and standards.
  • Effectively exchange information with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendors.
  • Attend virtual engineering meetings and client calls to discuss projects.
  • Potentially travel to client sites for in-person meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems studies.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with Siemens PSS/E software, with PSCAD and DIgSILENT Power Factory being a plus.
  • 0-3 years of experience in power systems studies, including running simulations using PSS/E.
