About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities Electrical Group at POWER Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing the electrical power components of industrial and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and special systems for industrial and commercial facilities
  • Perform all electrical engineering tasks associated with the project, including proposals, design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimating, client reviews, and construction support
  • Work as a team with multiple discipline leads, project managers, and others to manage all the Electrical efforts for the project team while supporting the needs of other disciplines to effectively coordinate or lead a project
  • Mentor junior or mid-level electrical engineers and designers
  • Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross-disciplinary team members and clients
  • Proven ability to take ownership of Electrical project scope and drive team and client to successful completion
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Professional Engineering License with the ability to be licensed in additional states
  • United States citizenship
  • Extensive experience in the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and special systems for industrial and commercial facilities
  • Ability to work as a team with multiple discipline leads, project managers, and others to manage all the Electrical efforts for the project team while supporting the needs of other disciplines to effectively coordinate or lead a project
  • Ability and desire to mentor junior or mid-level electrical engineers and designers
  • Solid foundation in design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross-disciplinary team members and clients
  • Proven ability to take ownership of Electrical project scope and drive team and client to successful completion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Food and Beverage Industry experience
  • Prior Consulting/Engineering Services experience
  • Prior experience with capital projects as a direct employee of a manufacturing company
  • Project management experience
  • Autodesk REVIT experience a strong plus
  • An interest in managing a group of direct reports
