Prestige Care - Marysville

Location: Marysville, CA

Compensation: Hourly with a range of $16 to $21 per hour based on experience and seniority, plus an additional $1.00 shift differential for night shifts and Sundays.

Position Overview:

The Caregiver Support Specialist is responsible for delivering direct care to residents, fulfilling various assignments as a versatile team member, and fostering a supportive physical and emotional environment for residents while embodying the core values of respect, integrity, commitment, and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver direct care to residents, ensuring their dignity, independence, and choices are respected. Regularly monitor residents' physical and mental health and communicate any changes to the appropriate supervisory staff.

2. Assist with or perform activities of daily living (ADLs), take vital signs, and accurately document care services and observations in communication logs and incident reports. Report and document all incidents and accidents without delay.

3. Support residents in transitioning to and from dining areas and activities.

4. Administer First Aid and initiate emergency response protocols as necessary.

5. Welcome residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and manage phone communications when assigned.

6. Adhere to community fire safety and infection control protocols, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment to the immediate supervisor.

7. Assist in meal service within the dining area, support residents during meal times, manage tray delivery, and help maintain cleanliness in the dining and kitchen areas.

8. Aid in tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers, coordinating personal care services with colleagues and responding promptly to assistance requests.

9. Provide assistance with housekeeping tasks and residents' laundry services.

10. Participate in training sessions, in-services, and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

11. Undertake other related duties as assigned to support the team and residents.

Qualifications:

Candidates must successfully complete a competency evaluation within 120 days of employment and fulfill state-required training, including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR, and HIV training if prior documentation is not available. Candidates should be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with one or more years of experience in personal care for older adults.

Current First Aid and CPR certification is required, along with a Food Handlers permit if mandated by state regulations.
