Job Overview

As a key member of the JRG Partners team, the Operations Director will play a critical role in driving the company's manufacturing operations forward. This position requires a seasoned leader with a proven track record of success in managing production teams and optimizing manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational activities to support achievement of production goals, including earned hours, scrap, inventory turns, and productivity.
  • Direct responsibility for production supervisors, including machining, welding, assembly, and post-processing teams.
  • Collaborate with Production Control and Operations to schedule priorities and ensure efficient shop floor operations.
  • Develop and implement new processes and refine existing ones to optimize manufacturing output.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between operations and quality control to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
  • Support the Inspection lab in optimizing production throughput while maintaining customer quality standards.
  • Manage the MPIP process to align inspection methods and frequency with customer expectations and company cost/risk expectations.
  • Optimize and manage process development in support of New Part Introductions (NPI).
  • Lead the R&D department and workflow, working within the IPT structure to coordinate with other departments on quality, delivery, and expectations.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing Planners as needed, collaborating with all departments to resolve inspection and production issues.
  • Contribute to the design and development of special fixturing to support Planning, promoting Standard Work and Quick-Change fixturing concepts.
  • Support strategic initiatives around the integration of automation within the factory.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work environment, adhering to 6S standards and Quality System requirements.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of management experience
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to deal with interruptions while meeting deadlines
  • Leadership experience in a matrix organizational structure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
