Position Overview:

The role of a Personal Banker II (PB II) is pivotal in fostering and enhancing customer relationships by delivering an outstanding banking experience. The PB II is tasked with the initiation of new accounts, processing loan applications, and addressing customer inquiries while recognizing opportunities to deepen existing banking connections. Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers daily to cultivate relationships, which includes processing transactions, assessing needs, recommending suitable products, and referring partners to enhance the customer experience.
  • Comply with regulations and adhere to policies and procedures to ensure the safety and integrity of both customers and the bank.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the bank's products and services to meet customer needs, driving sales performance. Key tasks include opening new consumer deposit and lending accounts, establishing new business accounts, performing account maintenance, achieving cross-sell targets, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer lending and new account processes, nurturing customer trust and managing relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Commit to personal development through continuous learning and adaptation to new procedures and systems to support organizational growth.
  • Ensure that operational tasks are executed and completed on a daily basis.
  • Maintain cash levels and manage outages in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Foster consistent communication both internally and externally.
  • Promote the use of technology in everyday banking interactions, including educating customers on mobile banking, online banking, and other digital services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of prior experience in a teller role is required.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines amidst frequent interruptions.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Proficient in technology with a willingness to embrace new software solutions.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with frequent interruptions.

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires prolonged use of computer screens, leading to potential eye strain.
  • Ability to focus on tasks despite occasional distractions in the work environment.
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for interactions in person and via telephone.
  • Some travel may be required for meetings and training sessions.
