Responsibilities- Perform patient care duties, including gathering patient data, assisting with preparation for examination, and administering approved medications.
- Support our physicians during examinations and procedures, and provide routine treatments as needed.
- Document patient data, treatments, and procedures according to Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between patients and our administrative staff, and process incoming and outgoing calls in a professional manner.
- Adhere to Orlando Health policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school.
- Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and certification by one of the following agencies: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
